UHeM provides high-performance computing (HPC) and data storage infrastructure services to academic, industrial, and special projects as outlined below. Additionally, through the "Student Research Support Program," free HPC resources are provided to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.

Academic Projects

• Covers scientific research and application projects conducted at Turkish universities and public research institutions.

• Pricing for academic projects is as follows:

• Jobs run on high-memory nodes in our servers are charged 50% higher.

Student Projects

• The Student Research Support Program was developed to enable undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students of universities to use UHeM resources more effectively in their research.

• Resources for student projects are provided free of charge by UHeM. Users cannot submit multiple student project applications, and if resources are completely consumed, the student project is closed.

Industrial R&D Projects

Comprises projects conducted in R&D departments of public and private sector organizations in our country. For information about pricing for Industrial R&D projects, you can send an email to hesap@uhem.itu.edu.tr.

EU Projects

HPC resources are provided for DECI project calls conducted under the scope of PRACE-1IP, PRACE-2IP, and PRACE-3IP projects in which we participate. As UHeM, we represent Turkey on international platforms by supporting international projects.

Academic Preparation Program

Comprises free 400,000 core-hour computing resource support provided by the National Center for High Performance Computing to encourage all faculty members currently working in our universities to submit research project proposals.

To apply to the program, faculty members must meet the following conditions:

  • Those who have never used our center before and are in the process of preparing a research project proposal (e.g., TUBITAK, BAP, etc.),
  • Those who are users at our center and are preparing a new research project proposal (e.g., TUBITAK, BAP, etc.),
  • Those who currently have projects (e.g., TUBITAK, BAP, etc.) at our center, but were unable to complete service procurement for closing projects and require resources for final work to close the project.

Note: To apply for academic preparation resource support, you must be a faculty member at any university. Students and research assistants cannot benefit from this support.
